1. 아소토유니언, 윈디시티 같은 밴드에서도 활동을 했어요. 어떤 경험이었나요?
아마 누나들, 형들과 음악 하지 않았다면 지금 음악을 하지 않고 다른 일을 하고 있지 않을까 생각합니다.
2. 퍼커션도 연주하는 걸로 알아요. DJ를 시작하게 된 계기와 동기가 있다면?
중학교 때 힙합 음악을 처음 접하고 스크래치를 너무 배우고 싶어 수소문하다가 DJ NEGA형을 알게 되었고 방학 때마다 배우러 갔었습니다. 본격적으로 음악을 틀기 시작한 건 DJ YTst와 DJ Someone과 이태원에서 살던 2013년이라고 생각합니다.
3. 어떤 음악을 듣고 성장했나요?
어렸을 때는 주로 빌보드 챠트에 있는 음악들을 많이 들었습니다. 그때는 공영방송에서 해외 뮤직비디오를 틀어주는 프로그램도 있었고, 빌보드 챠트 메거진도 있었기 때문에 매주, 매달 기다리며 지냈던 기억이 납니다. 중고등학교 때는 친구들과 서로에게 없는 힙합 음악 씨디를 교환하며 들었습니다. 그러면서 PC통신, 음악 잡지에서 힙합 음악의 샘플링에 대하여 알게 되었고, 힙합 음악에 샘플링된 소울, 훵크, 재즈 음악들을 찾아 들었습니다.
그러다가 Asoto Union을 알게 되었고, 팬에서 멤버가 되었습니다. 밴드활동을 하면서 누나, 형들이 들려준 다양한 음악들을 기반으로 지금까지 찾아 듣고 있습니다.
1. You were with the band Asoto Union and Windy city. How was it like?
If I didn’t’ have those periods with bros and sis, I’m different person who is not relate to music.
2. You also play the percussion, is there any specific reason or chance to start the Djing?
When I was in middle school, I listened the hip hop music and really want to learn the scratching. I found DJ Nega and took the lesson every vacation. It’s year 2013 that I actually playing music as DJ, I was living with DJ YTst and DJ Someone.
3. What kind of music did you listen when you were young?
I usually listened the music in Billboard that time. It’s easy to watch or find the foreign M/V in TV, or the magazine about the Billboard. I still remember the time that I waiting those magazines every month or week. In middle school and high school, I shared the hip hop CD’s with friends and I found the samplings of the hip
hop music in magazines and PC communications. Soul, Funk, Jazz tunes at most.
I was a fan of Asoto Union and one day I became the member of the band. It still affects my music taste.

Five Point Five Under is an Urban project space located in the basement of Hotel Sohsul. It’s a pub as usual, but also have exhibitions, concerts, parties and various cultural events as pop up events.
