1. 지금 하고 있는 음악에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 아티스트가 있다면?

Hernan Cattaneo. 시카고의 Spybar에서 처음 그의 공연을 보게 됐고
‘Underground 음악이 이런 것이구나’ 라는 것을 확실히 느끼게 되었습니다.

2. 그래픽 디자이너를 하고 있다고 하셨어요. 직업을 가지고 있다는 것이 음악 작업을 하는데 어떤 영향을 미치나요?

디자인을 하는 것과 음악을 하는 것은 본인 마음속 깊은 곳으로부터 원하는 것이 무엇인지 걸러내고 또 표현해내는 과정이라는 면에서 궁극적으로 비슷한 맥락의 작업인것 같습니다. 더불어, 디자이너는 클라이언트가 원하는 것이 무엇인지, DJ는 리스너들이 원하는 것이 무엇인지를 파악하고 본인이 표현하고 싶어하는 것과 그 상반된 두 지점 사이에서 고민한다는 점에서도 비슷합니다. 저는 음악을 들으면서 디자인적인 영감을 얻고, 디자인을 하면서 또한 음악적인 영감을 많이 얻기 때문에, 앞으로 제가 제일 좋아하는 일인 이 두 가지 일을 오래도록 같이 할 수 있었으면 하는 바램이 큽니다.

1. Which artist affects you the most for your current style of music?

Hernan Cattaneo, The first time I saw him at Spybar, Chicago makes me thinking “This is the real Underground music.”

2. As graphic designer beside DJ. Is it influence you in terms of music producing?

It is kind of similar process or work that both design and producing is filter and express what you really want from deep inside of the heart. Also, designer should
catch what client wants as same as DJ’s do for his listener. There’s always some point to find between what I want to express and right opposite. For me, music inspired me for design and design also inspired for my music, hope I can do both things for long time.
