1. 본인을 소개해 달라.

서울에서 활동중인 테크노 / 일렉트로닉 디제이 DJI 입니다.
2010년부터 Blue Spirit, Ellui, club MUTE 등에서 디제이로 활동했었고, 현재는 클럽 vurt 에서 활동중입니다.미래지향적인 사운드를 중심으로 플로어의 댄스 그루브를 만들어내는데 포커스를 맞추고 있습니다.한국의 테크노 레이블 ECI Korea 의 소속 아티스트로 간간히 리믹스 작업이나 트랙들을 내고 있습니다.곧 좋은 결과물을 만들어내기 위해 노력하고 있습니다.

2. 음악 외에 특별한 취미가 있다면?

공상과학이나 미래/ 우주/ 시간 소재의 소설 혹은 영화를 즐겨봅니다.또..취미로 베이스기타를 치고있고 일찍 일어나는 날에는 한강에서 자전거도 탑니다.

3. 공연했던 곳 중 가장 기억에 남거나 인상 깊었던 장소가 있는가?

나에게는 현재 활동중인 vurt 가 가장 특별한 공간이지만, 그외에 또 꼽으라면 아무래도 몇년간 레지던트 디제이 및 음악감독으로 활동했던 club MUTE 입니다.Troy Pierce, Function, DJ HELL, Magda 등의 favorite 아티스트들과 함께 음악을 틀기도 했고,활동했던 기간동안 많은 기회들이 주어져서 개인적으로 많은 발전을 할 수 있었습니다.
오픈부터 서서히 클럽의 아이덴티티를 만들어 나갔던 과정들도 굉장히 즐거웠습니다.

1. Please introduce yourself

Hi, I’m DJI and like to playing Techno and Elctronic. I started spin since 2010 at clubs like Blue Spririt, Ellui, Club Mute and else and now residency at club Vurt. At Vurt, based on futuristic sound, trying to make the dance groove on the floor. I’m also in Korean Techno label “ECI”, producing tracks and remixes from time to time.

2. Do you have any hobbies beside the music?

I like to read the SciFi or the fictions about future, space and time. Those kind of movies are also my favorites. Playing base guitar as my hobby, also riding the bicycle when I wake early in the morning.

3. There any special or memorable place you’ve been playing?

For me, current residency “Vurt” is special but if I should count one more thing, then I suggest club MUTE. I was the director and DJ for few years. Had a chance to playing with Troy Pierce, Funcion, DJ Hell, Magda and many favorite artists, and also great opportunity to progress. Building the identity from launching was great.

오래된 미래 : vurt.

서울 합정동에 위치한 클럽 vurt 는

세계적인 사운드 회사인 영국의 Allen & Heath 에서 활동하였던 TIM WALTER 가 사운드 엔지니어를 담당하며 일렉트로닉 음악에 최적화된 미래적인 사운드를 완성시켰으며, 서울에서 가장 진보적인 성향의 DJ들로 알려진 UNJIN, SUNA (aka DJ Flamenco), SOOLEE, DJI 가 레지던트 디제이로 활동하며 매주 양질의 Deep Underground Techno / Electronic 음악을 들려주고 있다.
매달 정기적인 이벤트를 통해 세계적인 아티스트들을 초대하고 있으며, 국내의 테크노 레이블들인 ECI KOREA / LESS N LESS 와 함께 다양한 이벤트들을 기획하고 있다.

Ancient Future : Vurt

Club Vurt is located in Hapjeongdong, Seoul. Based on futuristic sound with raw beats and repeated rhythm, it aims for the happiness from dancing which can be the essence of the dance music.
Tim Walter who had been worked in international sound company “Allen & Heath” is in charge with Sound Engineer, satisfying the sound optimized to Electronic music. UNJIN, SUNA (aka DJ Flamenco), Soolee, DJI who are famous for their progressive style, make the sound of Vurt together.
Organizing regular party with inviting international artists, and collaborate with Korean Techno Labels, ECI Korea and LESS N LESS.
