1. 자신의 음악 스타일을 소개해 주세요.
제가 기존에 만들어서 유통하고 오픈한 음원들은 Funk나 Disco가 가진 음악적 언어의 연장선에서 Chill한 느낌을 가미한 사운드였다고 할 수 있었습니다. 장르로 분류하자면 Chill Wave나 Indie Dance와 같은 스타일을 추구해 왔고, 최근에는 레트로 신스를 사용하는 Sci-Fi한 사운드에도 관심이 많아졌습니다. 현재에도 그런 스타일의 음악에 심취해 그 방향으로 작업을 하고 있고 디제잉에 있어서도 그런 취향에 좀 더 무게를 두고 틀고 있습
니다.
2. 가장 좋아하는 아티스트, 영향을 받은 아티스트가 있다면?
수많은 아티스트들이 있지만 그 중에서도 가장 좋아하는 아티스트를 꼽자면 Todd Terje를 꼽고 싶습니다. 그의 음악적 성향, 그가 만들어내는 사운드의 깊이와, 균형, 그 맑은 모든 것들이 모두 동경의 대상입니다.
3. 2015년 계획하고 있거나 기대하는 일이 있다면?
YMEA로서 여러 디제이분들이나 음악계 분들과 교류가 더 많아졌으면 좋겠고, 동시에 지금보다는 더 활동적으로 나서서 좋은 성과들을 낼 수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 개인적으로 작업하고 있는 것들도 언제가 될진 모르겠지만 되도록 빨리 정리해서 낼테고요. 올해도 꾸준히, 그리고 차질 없이 계속해서 많은 활동을 했으면 좋겠습니다. 사적으로는 음악을 테마로 해외 여행도 다녀오고 싶습니다!
1. Please introduce your music style.
What I’ve been produced and released tracks are based on Funk and Disco. And try to add some chill sound. Classifying the genre, it’s more to Chill wave, Indie dance and also have an interest on Sci-fi sound using retro synth recently. My current works are based on these style and also with my DJing.
2. Who is your favorite artists and please tell us the one you affected most.
There are so many artists but I would tell Todd Terje for most favorite one. His style and depth of sound he produced, balance and all things he got are my aspiration.
3. What do you plan or expect for this year.
As a member of YMEA crew, I love to communicate with other DJ’s or musicians and hope to have lots of chances to show my works. I’m trying to release them as soon as possible and constantly. Besides my work, travelling abroad with music theme is one that I want to do.
