러스트&더스트는 2013년 이스트마스크와 망이실로가 결성한 듀오로서 각자 프로듀서와 디제이로서 굵은 경력을 가지고 있다. 이들의 곡은 Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles, Tube & Berger, Miguel Alcobia, Gui Boratto, Noir, Art Department, Soul Clap, Sam Paganini, Julio Bashmore, Aldrin, Javi Colors, Erwin Kelemen, Nick Chatelain 등 해외 유명 아티스트들에게 굉장한 서포트를 받은 바 있다.
또한 독일, 이비자, 스페인, 영국, 터키, 사이프러스등의 해외 공연과 함께, 유명 페스티벌 WMC, SONAR, c/o pop 등에서의 섭외 등 해외에서 두각을 보이고 있다.
이들의 사운드 및 장르를 한마디로 정의하자면 “딥멜랑콜리하우스”라고 할 수 있다. 국내에선 보기드문 사운드와 음악을 선보이는 Rust&Dust는 2014 년 꼭 주목해야할 아티스트임에 틀림없다.
첫 Talbot EP 가 Ameniia 와 베를린의 Well done Music 을 통해 발매 예정이며 다양한 Remixer 들이 함께할 예정이다.

1. Please introduce yourself
In late 2013, eastmask & mang esilo, two well-known underground house DJ & Producers, from South Korea teamed up as “Rust & Dust”. Both has released great groovy tracks over the years which were an international success over past years being supported by Jamie Jones, Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles, Tube & Berger, Miguel Alcobia, Gui Boratto, Noir, Art Department, Soul Clap, Ilario Alicante(Cocoon), Shir Khan, Vincewatson, Sam Paganini, Julio Bashmore and many more. It is no surprising that they were played in several big events such as WMC, SONAR, c/o pop Festival, etc.
Rust & Dust has unique sound, which distinguish them clearly from others. There great level of dj set has always been applaud by crowds. There ‘Talbot’ EP will be released via Ameniia and Welldone Music[Berlin] including many great remixed versions from various artists all over the world.
With 2014 on the horizon, Rust & Dust is one of the names to look out for.

갤러리 루프
1999년, 상수동에서 시작한 대안공간 루프가 서교동의 지하 갤러리를 거쳐 2005년, 새로운 미술공간으로 거듭났다. 루프는 보다 나은 문화적 지형도를 그리기 위해 규모를 확장하지만, 대안공간으로서의 기능에 충실하려는 마음은 처음과 다름이 없다. 대안공간 루프는 단일적 국제화에 대항하는 아시아의 대안적 미술 문화를 생산하고 정립하는 장으로서의 역할에 충실할 것이며, 더불어 자본 중심 구조의 서구 주류 미술계에 반하는 아시아 현대미술의 새로운 미술 유통 플랫폼을 구축하여, 정직하고 활발한 미술 시장의 구축을 도모하고 있다. 루프는 대안을 위한 대안에 반대하며,명확한 목적의식을 가지고, 주류 미술계에 제시한 대안에 책임질 수 있는 공간이 될 것을 목표로 하고 있다.
Gallery Loop
Setting out in 1999 in Sang-Su Dong, and then moved to a basement in Seo-Kyo Dong, alternative Space Loop is about to entering upon a new chapter of its history starting from the year 2005. Loop plans to expand size-wise; however its very first commitment for suggesting alternatives for Korean Art scene remains the same. Loop will keep sticking to its foremost responsibility of defining alternative Asian art and culture by confronting Western-oriented globalization. In addition, Loop plans to set up a new platform for Asian contemporary art industry, and promotes an art market that is dynamic yet upright. Loop objects to an alternative for the sake of an alternative. With clear vision and mission, Loop will become a truly alternative space that challenges the mainstream art institutions.
